Tutoring Rates

We charge a flat rate of $125 for a 60-90 minute session (this comes to about $80/hr for a 90-minute session).

This may seem like a lot, but because our tutors can get a student to understand 2-4 times as much material in a session as a normal tutor, and because we save you time by traveling to your house, we are the best return-on-investment in the Bay Area.

While one-on-one tutoring usually works best, we do hold tutoring sessions for more than one student at a time. Each additional student is only an extra $20. So for a group of three students, the total cost is $125+$20+$20=$165. This comes to $55 per student, making our services very accessible.

If the students work well together, group tutoring can actually be very beneficial, especially if the students study together before and/or after the session to reinforce material. It's usually really easy to get a group of students together, because if one student is struggling, I guarantee that others are too. You just have to ask around!

We charge a flat rate per session because we find that students can focus on the material better, rather than worrying about how long the session is taking. And we hold our sessions to 90 minutes because the brain can't maintain focus or process information very effectively after 60-75 minutes, so by the time 90 minutes is up, the brain just can't handle any more! When our students finish a session, they are usually visibly tired because of how much information they've just processed!
